At the Junior World Championships in Narvik, Norway, Anna Trocker provided a first highlight from a South Tyrolean perspective – and one that shines in silver.

After the cancellation of the two downhill races, the World Championships in the cold north opened with the Super-G on Sunday morning, which also formed the basis for the team combined event, concluding with the slalom in the afternoon. There, Anna Trocker truly excelled: In the slalom course, the skier from Völs catapulted herself and her teammate Ludovica Righi from seventh place to silver (+0,38 seconds) with the third-fastest time.
The combined title went to France: Emy Charbonnier had already taken the lead in the Super-G, and her teammate Ilona Charbotel brought home the gold medal. The Austrian duo Pia Hauzenberger and Leonie Raich were delighted with bronze (+0,52).
Klotz and Putzer will finish a strong fifth.
Victoria Klotz (Bolzano) and Arianna Putzer (Selva di Val Gardena) also achieved another top result. In the team combined event, the two South Tyrolean athletes moved up one place, with Klotz lifting them from sixth to fifth.Putzer, by the way, achieved the best result for the Italian team in the Super-G: she finished ninth, 1,26 seconds behind the winner. Behind the new Junior World Champion Charbonnier, Logan Grosdidier (+0,41/USA) and Hauzenberger (+0,52) were delighted with silver and bronze respectively. The competition continues on Monday in Narvik with the Junior Super-G, which will then conclude with the combined slalom.
