In the ski circus: A dream wedding is on the horizon

They have been a dream couple in Austria's ski scene for years, and now they are apparently planning the next step. Downhill star Vincent Kriechmayr and his lady of the heart Michaela Heider are expected to tie the knot soon. At least that's what Heider's most recent Instagram posts indicate.

The former speed specialist, who announced her retirement from the ski circuit just a few weeks ago, posted some snapshots from her bachelorette party. In Portoroz, Slovenia, Heider celebrated her “Polterer” – including a little moment of shock. The ex-ski lady sustained a cut under her chin on a water slide and had to be treated.

But this injury will also heal by the time of the wedding. It is not yet known when the big day will be. In any case, it is certain that Kriechmayr and Heider will not start the World Cup winter together for the first time from next season. While Kriechmayr is chasing gold at his home World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Heider is now a ski pensioner. As a fan (and perhaps also as a wife) she will certainly keep her fingers crossed for her Vincent.
