While Lucas Braathen celebrated his first World Cup victory for Brazil, there was less cause for celebration in the Azzurri camp. Only Tobias Kastlunger managed to score some points in Levi.

Comebacker Tommaso Sala (He competed in his first World Cup race after a long break following a cruciate ligament tear a year ago) although he didn't qualify for the final, he still took positives home: "I'm glad that the ice is now broken and I'm back in race mode. I'm happy that I'm doing well and have a long season ahead of me."
