Serenade for Kilde: Shiffrin makes hearts melt

For just over three years, Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde have been the dream couple in the Ski World Cup. With a serenade on social media, Shiffrin has once again delivered a great proof of her love.

Nobody can beat her on the icy slopes of the World Cup, but Shiffrin also has a few talents outside of alpine skiing.


On Friday evening, the 29-year-old gave her fans an insight into her musical skills on Instagram and posted a video in which she plays the song "The Devil's Tears" by the sibling duo Angus and Julia Stone on her guitar. Of course, the two-time Olympic champion also sang the vocals.

"This is one of the first songs I learned," Shiffrin wrote below the post. "And it's my favorite song, too."

Fans celebrate Shiffrin for proof of love

The little serenade is dedicated to Kilde, to whom she has been engaged since last April. "A little song for @akilde," Shiffrin added in the description. In the comments, the American was celebrated for it and received thousands of likes as well as hundreds of heartwarming comments.



Shiffrin will be back in the World Cup on November 16. The seven-time world champion will then compete in the slalom in Levi, Finland. She wants to make amends there, after falling after leading in the first run of the giant slalom at the start in Sölden. back to fifth place.
