Tobias Kastlunger: All good things come in threes

Before this season, Tobias Kastlunger had never stood on the podium in the European Cup, before he achieved a rare feat in the giant slalom this year.

Kastlunger finished second for the third time this winter on Wednesday. He was beaten by Switzerland's Sandro Zurbrügg by a full 89 hundredths of a second in the European Cup giant slalom in Valloire, France. Another Italian, Simon Talacci, finished third.

In the women's European Cup downhill race in St. Moritz, Switzerland, Sara Thaler finished seventh. Vicky Bernardi came in tenth. The Austrian Anna Schilcher took the victory ahead of Swiss speed talent Stefanie Grob.
