“Our girl”: The world’s biggest ski baby is here

Immediately after the end of the season, a ski star has some very sweet news to announce: He's become a father for the first time!

It was an amusing announcement that Bryce Bennett posted on Instagram last December. "The world's tallest ski baby is coming in March," the American wrote at the time, letting the world know that his wife, Kelley, was expecting their first child. The reason for this cheeky remark is easy to find. At 2,01 meters tall, Bennett is one of the tallest skiers in the World Cup. And now the downhill skier has become a father for the first time.

The new arrival was at the end of March. "Our girl," Bennett's wife, Kelley, wrote on Instagram. Little Kate Page Bennett was born on March 28, 2025, and brought a huge smile to her parents' faces.

The new arrival certainly demonstrated excellent timing. She was born just as her father, Bryce, had already finished his ski season. The 32-year-old US athlete experienced a mixed winter, failing to qualify for the World Cup finals in Sun Valley. Two sixth-place finishes and a total of four top-10 finishes are still impressive for the Val Gardena specialist (he triumphed twice on the Saslong).

Now the ski giant is looking forward to spending a lot of family time at home in California. Bennett has been with his wife Kelley since 2015, and a stunning wedding at Lake Tahoe followed in 2022. Now the American couple's happiness is complete.
