Former ski stars Marie-Michèle Gagnon and Travis Ganong tied the knot in California. It was an event attended by many famous faces.

Marie-Michèle Gagnon and Travis Ganong were outstanding athletes for years. But the dream ski couple left their mark not only on the slopes, but also on the people in the World Cup. The Canadian and the American, who have been a couple for 16 years, were among the most popular ski racers on the scene.

Last weekend it became clear once again that nothing has changed even after their joint careers end in spring 2023. Gagnon and Ganong (warning: risk of confusion) got married at Lake Tahoe in California. Ski stars from all over the world celebrated with the couple.

For example, the Italian Federica Brignone traveled to California to attend the wedding. The former overall World Cup winner also made a trip to San Francisco during the trip.

Also present were downhill star Ilka Stuhec, who came from Slovenia, and the Austrian Bernadette Schild. Steven Nyman, Alice Merryweather, Bryce Bennett and the reigning slalom world champion Laurence St-Germain also attended the ceremony.

They all got to see a romantic wedding. Marie-Michèle Gagnon and Travis Ganong got married in the middle of the nature of the famous Lake Tahoe. The dream couple arrived at the location in a canoe and even shared a kiss on a rock in the middle of the lake. A weekend that everyone involved will not soon forget.

Marie-Michèle competed in 273 World Cup races and won two races; her husband Travis (189 World Cup races) was crowned Vice World Champion in Vail/Beaver Creek in 2015, thus celebrating his greatest success.
