The 24-year-old exceptional talent triumphed in the thrilling final and secured his first win of the winter season. This was the third World Cup success of his career. With a strong performance, Deromedis left the German Florian Wilmsmann and the Canadians Kevin Drury and Reece Howden behind in the final.
From South Tyrol's point of view, the competition was mixed: Dominik Zuech and Yanick Gunsch made it to the round of 29, but had to settle for 31th and XNUMXst place.
Thompson dominates
In the women's event, Canadian ski cross icon Marielle Thompson prevailed and celebrated her impressive 31st World Cup victory. The world champion won comfortably ahead of Swiss Fanny Smith, German Daniela Maier and another Swiss Talina Gantenbein.
