Gunsch & Zuech are fighting for Olympic tickets

The qualifying round for the Ski Cross World Cup took place in Arosa on Monday evening. All Italian athletes qualified for the round of 32.

The second World Cup stop of the winter kicks off on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. with the round of 32. Simone Deromedis will be wearing the World Cup leader's jersey. The Trentino native finished fifth in qualifying. Dominik Zuech (22nd in qualifying), Federico Tomasoni (25th), Edoardo Zorzi (27th), Yanick Gunsch (49th), and Davide Cazzaniga (52nd) will also be competing on Tuesday.

For Zuech and Gunsch, the fight for tickets to the 2026 Olympics is also at stake. At the opening tournament in Val Thorens, the Vinschgau native was eliminated in the qualifying round, while the Burggrafenstein native was knocked out in the round of 16. The fact is: it won't be easy, because the Italian team has gained in strength.
