Prevc is in a league of his own in Oberstdorf, too.

World Cup dominator Domen Prevc won the opening jump of the Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf (Germany) in a dominant manner.

The favored Slovenian relegated Austrian Daniel Tschofenig and German Felix Hoffmann to second and third place, respectively. The Austrian was a full 17,5 points behind the winner. Prevc's teammate Timi Zajc, who had finished the competition tied for second place with Tschofenig, was disqualified because his suit was not compliant with the rules.

World champion Prevc celebrated the first victory for a Slovenian in the opening event of the traditional Four Hills Tournament with two jumps of the longest distance in front of 25.500 fans. The 26-year-old ski flying world record holder takes a huge lead into the New Year's competition in Garmisch after his maiden victory in the tournament. Behind Tschofenig and Hoffmann, however, the gaps are small. Fellow favorite Ryoyu Kobayashi finished seventh, 21,7 points behind.

South Tyrol's best ski jumper, Alex Insam, did not participate in Monday's competition. The 28-year-old recently trained with the Italian national team in Predazzo and will only join the Four Hills Tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
