Women's Ski Flying World Cup canceled

Due to stormy winds, the women's ski flying World Cup in Vikersund has been canceled. The jury made this decision after several postponements.

After a long wait, the 22 participants had to pack up their things without accomplishing anything. Strong winds had already significantly disrupted the schedule on Saturday. The competition was canceled in the morning before the last competitor had finished and rescheduled for the afternoon.

Lara Malsiner, competing on a ski jumping hill for the first time this weekend, landed in 135th place with a jump of 16 meters. She had previously set the new Italian national record with a jump of 149,5 meters. Nika Prevc (213,5) and Ema Klinec (204,5) celebrated a Slovenian one-two on Saturday. Third place went to Germany's Selina Freitag (200).
