Around 140 athletes from all over South Tyrol and the neighboring provinces met on January 25th for the night ski touring race “Carezza Trophy”.

The Carezza Trophy took place for the 12th time and under top conditions. The starting gun was fired in Welschnofen at 18 p.m. sharp. On the long route, the riders had to overcome around 1400 meters of altitude over a distance of around 13 km, with five changes. The short route was an uphill race over around 4,5 km with 600 meters of altitude.

The long distance race was won by Matteo Sostizzo, a ski mountaineering athlete from the CS Carabinieri, with a time of 1:14:08, ahead of Patrick Gross and Noe Thaler, both members of Alpin Speed ​​Sarntal. In the women's race, the victory went to Priska Gasser from Ski Alp Gossensass, who relegated Kristel Mottin from Bela Ladinia to second place with a time of 1:43:49. Susanna Menardi crossed the finish line in third place. The victories in the shorter distance race went to Andreas Innerebner (29:51 minutes) and Heidi Dapunt (42:20 minutes).
