The two competitions planned for the Karerpass, a women's and a men's parallel giant slalom, will take place this Thursday on the Pra di Tori slope. Qualifying starts at 9 a.m., followed by the finals from 12:45 p.m.
The magnificent panorama of the Rosengarten and Latemar mountains welcomed the athletes of the Parallel Snowboard World Cup, who arrived in Carezza Dolomites in recent days. This morning, the world's best snowboarders trained on the Paolina slope. "According to the weather forecast, temperatures should be just above freezing the day after tomorrow, when the World Cup races take place on the Pra di Tori, and the weather should be in our favor," commented the organizers of the 15th Parallel Snowboard World Cup in Carezza Dolomites. The organizing committee of the sporting event, which is once again being organized as a "Green Event" according to sustainable criteria, is currently working on the final details for the big day.
The 15th Parallel Snowboard World Cup in Carezza Dolomites will, as usual, consist of a parallel giant slalom for women and one for men. Qualifying begins on Thursday morning at 9:00 AM and will determine the 16 athletes who will compete in the knockout rounds at 12:45 PM. Following this, the day's winners will be determined in head-to-head matches and honored in the finish area after the race. Snowboard fans can watch the races live and free of charge in Carezza Dolomites. The finals will be broadcast live by television stations worldwide, including Rai Sport, ORF SPORT+, and Eurosport 2, as well as via live stream on Eurosport. Other television stations, such as Switzerland's SRF 2, will also broadcast highlights.
The sporting event will be preceded by two events the day before the races. On Wednesday, December 17th at 14 pm, the traditional gondola handover to the winners of the last edition will take place at the mountain station of the Hubertus cable car, near the finish line of the parallel giant slalom: Italian Jasmin Coratti and Bulgarian Radoslav Yankov will inaugurate the gondola named after them. In the evening at 18 pm, the opening ceremony of the stage will be held with the public bib draw, during which the starting numbers for the qualifying rounds will be awarded. "We invite all snowboard fans to participate in both events," say the organizers.

Austrian Benjamin Karl, who finished second in the first and third races of the season, and German Stefan Baumeister, who finished second in the second parallel giant slalom in China, also reached the podium. The first race of the women's World Cup saw another Italian one-two finish: Lucia Dalmasso took first place, Elisa Caffont second, and Bulgaria's Malena Zamfirova third.
