Visintin gets stuck in qualifying

For Omar Visintin, today's qualification in Cervinia went extremely poorly. Instead of fighting for podium places at the World Cup opener tomorrow, the 35-year-old has already started his journey home.

After the first qualifying round, Omar Visintin was only in 60th place after a big mistake and was well behind (+3,37 seconds) the leader Jakob Dusek. In the end, however, even a significant improvement in the second qualifying run was not enough.

The fastest after two qualifying runs was the Austrian Jakob Dusek, ahead of the Canadian Eliot Grondin and the Frenchman Aidan Chollet. The best Azzurri were Tommaso Leoni (9th place) and Matteo Menconi (17th place), who qualified after the first run.

The program in Cervinia

The World Cup kick-off begins tomorrow, Saturday, at 11.30:XNUMX a.m. in Cervina. The Azzurri Matteo Menconi, Tommaso Leoni and Lorenzo Sommariva will be taking part. For Visintin, the next World Cup weekend is not until the beginning of February in China.
