How do I get tickets for the 2026 Olympics?

The dream of taking part in the 2026 Olympics in Milan Cortina begins with a draw. The ticket prices were announced on October 3. The organizers boast that 20 percent of the tickets cost less than 40 euros, and half cost less than 100 euros.

The ticket offer varies between several categories (A, B and C) and depending on whether it is a quarter-final, semi-final or final: a place for the men's ice hockey final costs between 450 and 1400 euros. The cheapest races are cross-country skiing and skeleton, where you have to pay 40 euros. Ice hockey preliminary round games are available from 30 euros.

Expensive opening ceremony The prices for the opening and closing ceremonies are steep. For the opening in Milan's Meazza football stadium, ticket prices range from 260 euros (category D) to 2026 euros (category A). The closing ceremony in the Verona Arena costs even more: here, seats for category A cost 2900 euros, and the cheapest ticket (category C) costs 950 euros.

The prices in figure skating are also traditionally high: tickets cost between 400 and 1200 euros. For comparison, the Paralympics: the opening ceremony in the Verona Arena costs between 100 and 650 euros, the closing ceremony in Cortina d'Ampezzo between 150 and 350 euros. Around 200.000 tickets are on sale for the Paralympics, almost 90 percent of which are available for less than 35 euros.

How do I get tickets? Tickets for the various races, competitions and games of the Olympic Games will be available from February 2025. For a few days now, it has been possible to register on the platform tickets.milanocortina2026.org to register in order to secure a priority time slot for purchasing tickets in the first sales phase in February 2025. The time slot will be determined by a draw for everyone who has registered. This first registration phase, which does not entail an obligation to purchase, lasts until mid-January 2025. Those who register now and also purchase tickets by May 2025 will subsequently receive further priority slots for other Olympic events.

The remaining Olympic tickets will be released from April 2025. The same applies to the tickets for the Paralympics, for which there is no registration requirement. These tickets will be available from March 2025. And one more detail: All 2026 Olympic tickets will only be available in digital form.

The cheapest tickets (category C) cost 3 euros, in category B 50 euros and in category A 90 euros.
