Vötter/Oberhofer crash in Winterberg

The doubles races took place on Sunday at the Luge World Cup in Winterberg (GER). While the men almost secured a podium finish for South Tyrol, the women fell far short.

The victory went to Jessica Degenhardt and Cheyenne Rosenthal from Germany. Selia Egle/Lara Kipp (AUT) and Dajana Eitberger/Magdalena Matschina (GER) completed the podium.

Nagler/Malleier narrowly missed the podium

In the men's competition, South Tyroleans Ivan Nagler and Fabian Malleier narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth. Victory went to Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt from Germany. Thomas Steu and Wolfgang Kindl (AUT) finished second, and Juri Gatt and Riccardo Schöpf (AUT) came in third.

Emanuel Rieder/Simon Kainzwaldner finished the race in eleventh place. Philipp Brunner/Manuel Weissensteiner finished in fourteenth place.
