SKI JUMPING: Jan Hörl and Stephan Embacher won the first Super Team event of the ski jumping season in Zakopane on Saturday. The Austrian duo, who finished second and third overall in the Four Hills Tournament, celebrated a clear start-to-finish victory in the Olympic event, finishing 47,6 points ahead of Slovenia, who competed without their Four Hills Tournament winner Domen Prevc, and 64,1 points ahead of Poland. It was only the second Super Team victory for Austria since the event's inception.

ALPINE SKIING: Laura Steinmair secured her third podium finish of the season. In the European Cup giant slalom in Sestriere, the 25-year-old from Olang, after finishing 17th in the first run, launched a comeback and made a significant leap forward: With a gap of 0,44 seconds, the South Tyrolean posted the fastest time in the second run and was only beaten by Swiss winner Sue Piller and Sweden's Hilma Lövblom (+0,10 seconds). In the end, she missed the victory by just eleven hundredths of a second.
