Catanzaro, third in the table, is the sensational team in Serie B; the Calabrese's style of play is impressive and well thought out down to the last detail. But FC Südtirol also contributed to the defeat. The best example: veteran Andrea Masiello, who slipped the ball away from Vandeputte from behind on the way to the goal. It was the only time that enthusiastic cheers erupted in the stands. Pietro Iemmello is not attacked 20 meters in front of the goal, can turn and fire a great long shot. Poluzzi, probably blinded by the sun, misses it. Cisco whirls FCS substitute Andrea Cisco penetrates the right wing into the penalty area and shoots from a tight angle, Catanzaro goalkeeper Andrea Fulignati struggles to save the ball for a corner. On the other side, Matteo Stoppa hits the outside post again. After that it's over. Due to the international break, FC Südtirol now has two weeks to come to terms with the two most recent defeats against Palermo and Catanzaro and plan their way back on the road to success. The away game against Serie A relegated Cremonese is on October 21st. Then Casiraghi and Merkaj will also take part again.
