In the first test: FC Südtirol scores six goals
The kickoff is in! FC Südtirol kicked off the new season with a comfortable friendly win against top-flight side St. Georgen.

At the Stange sports zone near Ratschings, the white-red second division footballers played their first match of the current preseason. It ended in a 6-0 victory. Six different players got on the scoresheet against ASC St. Georgen.
After an intensive first week of training in the Ridnaun Valley, head coach Fabrizio Castori took the opportunity to test the first rehearsed moves and collective movements under competitive conditions. St. Georgen held firm throughout the entire game.
New midfielder Coulibaly gave FCS the lead in the 20th minute, before Merkaj made it 39-2 shortly before halftime (0th minute). After the break, El Kaouakibi (47th minute), returning midfielder Pecorino (65th minute), Vimercati (81st minute), and defensive reinforcement Bordon (83rd minute) increased the score to 6-0. Raphael Kofler was sidelined due to a slight fever.
