South Tyrolean scores his first Serie B goal

After a short winter break, Italian football is back in action in Serie B and C. This weekend, a striker from South Tyrol caused a sensation in the second division.

Things have become quiet lately. Lorenzo SgarbiThe former youth player for FC Saarbrücken and Napoli has yet to truly establish himself in Serie B over the past year and a half. This is also true at his third club, Pescara Calcio, where he mostly sits on the bench.

Over the weekend, Sgarbi finally celebrated his long-awaited success, scoring his first Serie B goal. In the 2-2 draw against his former club Juve Stabia, the 24-year-old from Bolzano was substituted on in the 90th minute. Three minutes later, Sgarbi scored the equalizer, salvaging at least a point for the bottom-of-the-table side. The striker has a total of 27 appearances in Serie B.

Things are going really well for me personally right now. David Wieser – even though Mantova is second to last in the table. The player from Val Gardena played the full 90 minutes in central midfield during the 1-1 draw against Palermo and provided the assist for the equalizing goal in stoppage time. Also Emanuele Zuelli He was in Carrarese Calcio's starting lineup for their 1-0 home win over Bari. His South Tyrolean teammate Simone Zanon However, he was missing from the squad this time.

Manuel DeLuca After six months, he's allowed to play football again. The Pfattner striker made his debut for Modena on Sunday. However, his new club suffered a 0-2 defeat at Padova. De Luca came on as a substitute for 28 minutes.

What's happening in Serie C?

In Serie C, Manuel Fischnler Trapani, a chaotic club, lost 1-2 to Latina. The striker from Signat was in the starting lineup. Just like... Luke Sinn in Ospitaletto's 0:1 defeat against the superior league leaders Vicenza, the club of South Tyrolean manager Werner Seeber. Benedikt Rottensteiner He played the full 90 minutes in Bra's 1-1 draw against Perugia. Just like... Jonas Heinz, who has already scored three times this year, in Casertana's 0-0 draw against Benevento.
