A South Tyrolean goal combination in Serie B
Simone Zanon and Emanuele Zuelli have been making waves at Carrarese Calcio in Serie B for over a year now. On Sunday, the two South Tyroleans even scored a goal single-handedly, making them the focus of our weekly "Outside Sales" column.

In Carrarese’s 2-2 draw at Serie A relegated side Empoli, there was a South Tyrolean co-production in the 1-0 lead of the visitors: A corner from Emanuele Zuelli took the completely freestanding Simone Zanon in the middle and volleyed the ball into the corner.
For Zanon, it was his second Serie B goal in 40 matches. The Sinich native is now 24 years old and, like Zuelli, is a regular at Carrarese. What else did the South Tyrolean Serie B pros achieve? David Wieser was substituted on in the 62nd minute of Mantova’s 5-1 home defeat against Frosinone, while Lorenzo Sgarbi remained on the bench at Pescara (1:2 in Modena).

In Serie C, Manuel Fischnler Trapani lost 2-0 to Benevento. The striker from Signat played the entire game. Simon Harasser (Sorrento) and Luke Sinn (Ospitaletto) are only in operation late Monday evening. While Elion Toci (Dolomiti Bellunesi) is injured, play Benedikt Rottensteiner (Bra) and Jakob Tschöll (Lecco) has not yet played a role in their teams. Jonas Heinz is only on the bench at Casertana this year.
Marano for the first time from the beginning
Michele Marano made his starting debut in Serie C. The 21-year-old goalkeeper from Tirolo lost 1-0 at home to Ascoli with Sassari Torres. And what's going on abroad? In the Austrian second league, Mathias Theiner played the full 90 minutes as right-back in Austria Salzburg's 0-0 draw with Bregenz. Max Reinthaler (1860 Munich) and Luke Mazagg (Ulm) are currently out of the running. However, the Lions have now undergone a coaching change, which could help Reinthaler get more playing time. Ulm already had a coaching change a few weeks ago – and it apparently didn't play into Mazagg's hands.
