Since Fabrizio Castori took over as coach at FC Südtirol, Tommaso Arrigoni has lost his place in the starting line-up. Now the midfielder has suffered another setback.

As the FCS announced on Thursday, Arrigoni sustained an ankle injury in training. The 30-year-old will therefore undergo surgery in the next few days. This means that he is unlikely to play a major role this season, and the man from Cesena has not played a single minute this year anyway.

Arrigoni has lost his starting place in recent months to the Pole Mateusz Praszelik, who is doing an excellent job in front of the defence. Previously, Arrigoni had been a regular for almost a year after his arrival in January 2024. In recent weeks, he has not been able to play at all.
