Coppa Italia: Inter gives FCS opponents no chance
Three Coppa Italia round of 16 matches were on the schedule for Wednesday. Inter and Atalanta both advanced without dropping a point, while Napoli only managed to celebrate victory in a penalty shootout.

Venezia are currently in a solid fifth place in Serie B, but their Coppa Italia adventure is now over. They suffered a heavy 1-5 defeat against Inter.
Inter Milan established a clear lead in the first half: Andy Diouf, Pio Esposito, and Marcus Thuram secured a 3-0 advantage for Inter. Thuram extended this lead after the break before Richie Sagrado scored a consolation goal. Substitute Ange-Yoan Bonny then sealed the 5-1 victory.
Atalanta dominant, Napoli trembles
Atalanta also cruised into the cup quarter-finals. "La Dea" celebrated a clear 4-0 home victory against Genoa. After Berat Djimsiti gave them a 1-0 lead, Genoa's Seydou Fini weakened his team with a red card. After the break, Atalanta further increased their lead. Reigning champions Napoli had a nail-biting finish: Antonio Conte's team could only manage a 1-1 draw against Cagliari after 90 minutes, forcing the match into a penalty shootout. Goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic became the hero of the match: The Serbian first converted Napoli's seventh penalty before saving Zito Luvumbo's spot-kick.
