Inter in the cup semi-finals: Now the derby awaits

Inter against Milan! That is the classic in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia. The Nerazzurri won against Lazio on Tuesday evening and secured their ticket for the penultimate round.

Inter beat their league rivals from Rome 2-0 at the San Siro. Marko Arnautovic and Hakan Calhanoglu put their stamp on an evenly matched and entertaining match. The Austrian put Milan in the lead with a wonderful direct shot towards the end of the first half, and the Turkish playmaker sealed the deal with a converted penalty in the 77th minute.

Inter will now face local rivals Milan in the semi-finals. On the other hand, Bologna is still waiting for its semi-final opponent. This could be Juventus. The Turin team will play at home against struggling FC Empoli on Wednesday (21 p.m.).
