A first taste of the new AC Milan

Four first-round matches were scheduled for Sunday evening in the Coppa Italia, and AC Milan got off to a perfect start.

AC Milan, under returning coach Max Allegri, won 2-0 at home against Serie B club Bari. The only disappointment was the injury to Rafael Leao, who suffered a calf injury after just 15 minutes and had to be substituted. The Portuguese had already given Milan a 1-0 lead.

Immediately after the break, the impressive Christian Pulisic doubled the lead to 2-0. Luka Modric's substitution in the 66th minute proved a highlight for the Milan fans. The fans at San Siro loudly cheered the Croatian veteran and celebrated the 39-year-old every time he touched the ball. Modric immediately demonstrated his class in several moves and played very impressively.
