2025 ends in huge disappointment for Obermais.

For a long time, it looked like FC Obermais would secure their second consecutive home win against San Luigi, but in the end, South Tyrol's only Serie D club was left with zero points after a bitter final few minutes. The year 2025 ends in enormous disappointment for Obermais.

The home game against direct relegation rivals San Luigi was of great importance for FCO. A win would have allowed the South Tyroleans to overtake the Trieste team in the table and simultaneously escape the relegation zone. But it wasn't to be, as San Luigi turned a 0-1 deficit into a victory in the final minutes of the match.

Obermais led San Luigi until the 85th minute. Center-back Oliver Rohrer had scored after 24 minutes, deflecting a back-of-the-box shot from Alex Loncini into the net following a corner. It was the first Serie D goal for the 27-year-old, who had joined from St. Pauls in the summer. However, Gabriele De Nuzzo (86th minute) and San Luigi's winter signing Luca Forte (90+3), who scored practically with the final whistle, turned the game around – leaving Obermais in despair.

Adriese's simultaneous victory (1-2 against Lignano) means that Obermais is now three points away from a relegation playoff spot halfway through the season. They will now take a short Christmas break before the second half of the season begins on January 4th with a home game against Este.
