Obermais completes the goalkeeper duo

In its search for a goalkeeper, FC Obermais in Piedmont has found what it was looking for. The goalkeeping reshuffle became necessary following the last-minute departure of Jakob Tschöll.

Jakob Tschöll from Passeier was supposed to start FC Obermais' historic first Serie D season. The goalkeeper, most recently with FC Südtirol in the Primavera team, would have played alongside his brother Moritz at Obermais. He would have, because Tschöll dropped out at short notice. The young goalkeeper received a call from his former coach Federico Valente and seized the opportunity to play professionally with Lecco (Serie C).

Obermais was therefore forced to make a move at the goalkeeper position. This wasn't an easy task, especially since the goalkeeper would fall under the youth regulations in Serie D. Ultimately, they opted for Steve Tchokokam. The 20-year-old brings Serie D experience to Obermais and will form the goalkeeping duo with Luca Tenderini.

Serie D experience at three clubs

Tchokokam spent the last year in Sicily, where he initially played for Città Santa Agata and then for Liciata in the second half of the season. The goalkeeper, who has Cameroonian roots, gained his first experience in Italy's fourth division two years ago with his hometown club Bra (which has since been promoted to Serie C). In total, Tchokokam has played 4 Serie D matches, plus four cup appearances.
