So much for the winter break: Top coaches at the FCO development training

The winter lull is slowly but surely setting in for amateur football in South Tyrol. But not at the Merano cattle market. There, young footballers – thanks to the initiative of FC Obermais – can hone their skills all winter long with top-class South Tyrolean coaches.

"The training program was barely advertised before it was fully booked," says FC Obermais, who want to offer young footballers attractive training throughout the winter months – and they are doing just that. The first sessions took place this week.

Among those present were current Serie D players Michael Seaton, Armand Srmcka, and Alexander Gander. Goalkeeper Luca Tenderini also let the kids test their skills, taking his place in goal for shooting drills. The current FCO players were supported by former players such as Theo Pamer, Lukas Höller, and Andreas Klotzner.

In general, the development training program can count on top-class coaching support. Thus, Flavio Toccoli (Obermais first team), Harald Kiem (Europeada winner with the South Tyrolean selection), Arnold threshold saddle (Former professional footballer and football coach at the Mals sports high school) or Manuel Strobl and Daniele Ciaghi with their Delta Football soccer school.
