Nischler scores twice – Pfattner in the cup quarter-finals
The football weekend was mostly successful for South Tyrol's female footballers. Nadine Nischler and Elisa Pfattner even shone as goal scorers.

Nadine Nischler continues her excellent form in Serie A. The player from the Vinschgau region led Como to a 4-2 victory against Ternana with a brace. Against the bottom-placed team from Umbria, Nischler first scored with a long-range shot (3rd minute) and then added another with a close-range finish (30th minute). With this win, Como remains in contention for the top spot in the table, currently held by AS Roma.
The match day was less enjoyable for Eva Schatzer. The player from Vahrn suffered a 1-2 defeat with Juventus against Milan. Schatzer played the full 90 minutes.
Pfattner as goal scorer
In St. Pölten, Elisa Pfattner and Austria Vienna celebrated a prestigious victory. The Violets won 2-1 in the round of 16 of the Austrian Cup, with the South Tyrolean scoring the opening goal for her team after nine minutes. St. Pölten is currently the best women's team in Austria.Swiss cup competitions were also held over the weekend. St. Gallen, where Vinschgau native Melanie Kuenrath plays, faced Yverdon Sport in the round of 16. St. Gallen ultimately prevailed and advanced to the quarterfinals, but had to sweat it out in a penalty shootout (6-3 victory on penalties).
FCS Women celebrate a comfortable victory
FC Südtirol Women secured a 4-0 away victory. Alexandra Stockner (15th, 31st) and Ranja Fischer (44th) sealed the win against bottom-of-the-table Tavagnacco, who have yet to earn a point. After the break, Jana Zipperle added the final goal (83rd).| SP | G | U | V | TV | P | |
