After FC Santos' 0-6 defeat against Vasco da Gama, the traditional Brazilian club announced the termination of coach Cleber Xavier, who had only taken over in April.

Neymar (33), who was always spoiled for success with FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, cried on the pitch after the match and then apologized to the fans for his team's poor performance.

Santos FC, hometown club of Brazilian football legend Pelé, is currently 15th in the domestic league following the defeat and remains in the midst of a relegation battle. Former Bayern Munich player Philippe Coutinho scored two goals for Vasco da Gama.
