First Unterhaching, then Bologna & Co.

This year, several professional clubs, especially from the top leagues in Germany and Italy, will be visiting South Tyrol to prepare for the new season.

As in the previous year, Serie A club Bologna will be visiting. The Italian Cup winners, who beat Milan 1-0 in the final, will complete their training camp in Jochtal Vals from July 15 to 26. Bologna also qualified for the upcoming Europa League with their cup win. In addition to Bologna, another Serie A club, Torino, will be visiting South Tyrol for the first time in many years and will be in Prato allo Stelvio from July 14 to 26, staying at the Garden Park Hotel.

Germany strongly represented Two Serie B clubs are also preparing for the upcoming season in South Tyrol. In addition to FC Südtirol, which will complete its preseason training in Stange and will be based at the Hotel Almarett in Racines (from July 13 to 26), another Serie B team, Spezia, will be visiting. The losing playoff finalist will train in Santa Cristina Val Gardena from July 18 to August 1 and will be staying at the Hotel Diamant. Spezia is aiming for promotion after being relegated two years ago.

German professional football is also represented: 1. FC Heidenheim, which managed to avoid relegation in the relegation match against Elversberg, will once again be in Natz-Schabs, where the team of cult coach Frank Schmidt will train from July 11 to 19. The Heidenheim team is thus continuing its South Tyrolean tradition and will be guests at the Hotel Jonathan for the third time.

The second Bundesliga (Bundesliga) is represented three times in South Tyrol. Arminia Bielefeld is preparing for its second division season, as it has done recently, at the Kronhotel Leitgam in Chienes. The newly promoted team from the third division, which sensationally reached the DFB Cup final, losing 2-4 to VfB Stuttgart, is expected in Chienes on Saturday, July 12. Two other German second division teams are also coming to South Tyrol: 1. FC Nürnberg (visiting Gais) and 1. FC Kaiserslautern, who will be playing in Sterzing this year.

Haching makes the start It's a tradition for SpVgg Unterhaching (this year's relegated team to the Bavarian Regional League) to come to Schlanders for preseason training. This year, Unterhaching will once again kick off the South Tyrolean summer training camp. The team will arrive at the Hotel Goldener Löwe in Schlanders on June 30th and prepare for the upcoming Regional League season until Sunday, July 6th. VfL Bochum, relegated from the Bundesliga, will not be heading to the training camp in Gais. Instead, the Blue-Whites will travel to Scheffau in Tyrol this time.
