Bayern opponent rages: "Someone's been drinking paint!"

The razor-thin offside decision against his team, made with the help of video evidence, has caused considerable anger for Union Berlin's coach Steffen Baumgart.

"The first goal is a goal. To call offside over those five millimeters, someone's out of their mind. I'm sorry," said Baumgart after the match. 2:2 draw for his Köpenick team against FC Bayern Munich at Sky.

Berlin's apparent opening goal in the ninth minute by Ilyas Ansah was disallowed for offside after intervention by the video assistant referee. This was difficult to discern with the naked eye on the television footage showing the calibrated line.
Baumgart generally criticized such close decisions. "In Bremen, the offside line doesn't work; it takes us 45 minutes before we can draw a line. And here we manage to draw it to 0,5 millimeters. For me, that's not reliable. We're talking millimeters," said the coach.
