New coach: Kaltern signs former HCB striker

The Kaltern Pike have found their desired coach.

As the club announced on social media on Saturday, an agreement has been reached with MacGregor Sharp. The Canadian, who ended his playing career with Ritten Sport in 2022, subsequently spent three years as an assistant coach and U19 coach at Ritten. Last season, Sharp made his IHL head coaching debut with Eppan.

"With MacGregor Sharp, the Kaltern Pike have secured their absolute top choice for the head coach position," SV Kaltern announced in a press release. Sharp, who played for HC Bolzano between 2011 and 2014, achieved strong results with a young team in his very first IHL season. He also demonstrated his knack for developing talented players.

“We are very pleased to welcome MacGregor Sharp as head coach of the Kaltern Pike and to take the next steps in our development together,” the reigning IHL champion concludes.
