Kaltern's star shines in the rescheduled match

On Thursday evening, the rescheduled tenth-round game between HC Valpellice and SV Kaltern took place in the Italian Hockey League (IHL). Valpellice celebrated a narrow away victory.

Kaltern's 14th win of the season was closely linked to the name Joonas Alanne. The 34-year-old Finn, who moved to the Überetsch region in the summer, played 233 games in the top league for the Lahti Pelicans in his home country. On Thursday, Alanne almost single-handedly led Kaltern to a 5-4 victory against Valpellice with a hat trick.

In front of over 700 spectators, Alanne scored all three goals in the first period – within just under four minutes. Kaltern thus remains firmly at the top of the IHL standings. The reigning champions are once again the overwhelming favorites for the title.
