All Kaltern ice hockey fans should mark this coming Saturday in their calendars. At 7:30 p.m., the first top match of the new IHL season will take place. Fassa, currently third in the standings and the team that defeated HCP Juniors on Thursday evening, will be visiting the Überetsch region. For the Hechte (Pikes), the duel with the Ladin team will be their first real test in the still young season.

Kaltern's start to the season has certainly been successful. On Thursday, the South Tyrolean team celebrated their third victory in three games – and it was quite a curious one. After 20 minutes, Raphael Andergassen and his teammates were leading by three goals, before Varese evened the score in the second period. Moritz Selva put Kaltern back on the winning track, before they sealed the 6-3 home victory in the final period. This puts Kaltern at the top of the table, level on points with Aosta.

Eppan also secured their second three points with a 5-1 away win against Pergine. HCP Juniors, however, are still waiting for their first points, having lost 0-3 against Fassa.
