Eppan can still win
The intermediate round in the IHL is slowly coming to an end. On the penultimate match day of the master round, the Pirates from Eppan won for the first time. Kaltern and Brixen, on the other hand, both lost.

It was not yet the intermediate round of the HC EppanThe Pirates were defeated in the first 8 matches and were unable to score a single point. That changed on Thursday when they won 5:4 at home against Alleghe after extra time. After just 2 minutes, the hosts were leading thanks to a goal from Daniel Svodoba. Although the guests struck back in the 13th minute, it took less than 2 minutes for the Überetsch team to be in the lead again.
Martin Graf scored the goal to make it 2-1 - again with a man advantage. Shortly after the restart, the Czech Svodoba increased the lead to 3-1. Despite a brief slump in the middle of the second period, Martin Graf secured the Pirates' lead again in the 45th minute. The equaliser came seven minutes before the end, but in extra time the South Tyroleans showed their morale and secured the extra point.
Kaltern loses for the first time
The first defeat in the intermediate round, however, was for KalternThe winner of the Master Round had to admit defeat 3:2 away to the Italian Cup winners. Feltre's parade line of Markus Korikiakoski (1 T, 1 A), Joseph Foltin (1 T) and Martin Kadlec (3 A) once again impressed. Luca De Dona (21') and Moritz Selva (51') scored for the South Tyroleans, with the latter even putting the visitors ahead at one point.The Falcons showed a solid performance from Brixens. Although they lost 4-1 to Fassa, the team from Canazei is currently in top form and has already celebrated two victories with more than 10 goals in the intermediate round. Nicholas Pezzetta scored the 2-1 goal in the 43rd minute.
