Thomas Commisso was one of the best ice hockey goaltenders in South Tyrol for many years. He has now died at the age of 41.

Thomas Commisso, born in 1983, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday. The Bozen native began his career at HCB. From 2002 to 2007, he was part of the Foxes' squad and made several appearances, often serving as a backup goalkeeper. During this time, Commisso was loaned to Siebeneich twice.
In 2007, he moved to SV Kaltern, where he remained for four years. With the Pikes, Commisso won the Serie B championship in his first season. He then spent two years in goal for Pergine, during which time he also played for HC Bozen, EV Bozen, and HC Pustertal.
In 2013, "Thommy" played for HC Meran, before ending his career with Pergine in 2019 after a stint with Fiemme. Commisso was known by his clubs not only as a reliable goalie, but also as a true team player. The South Tyrolean ice hockey family now mourns once again. after Roland Battisti died just a few weeks ago at the age of 44.
