Traditional Bavarian club completes Dolomitencup

The field of participants for the 19th edition of the Dolomitencup in Neumarkt (August 15-17) is complete. On Wednesday, the organizer announced the fourth team.

In addition to Dynamo Paradubice (Czech Republic, 1. Bundesliga), Valerenga (Norway, 1. Bundesliga), and the Frankfurt Lions (DEL), another German club, EV Landshut, will be coming to Neumarkt this summer. Bayern currently plays in the DEL2, but is one of the most traditional clubs in Germany.

From 1964 to 1999, Landshut played continuously in the 1. Liga, even winning the title in 1970 and 1983. In recent years, Landshut has narrowly missed promotion back to the DEL several times, and the current season also ended in the playoff quarterfinals.
