"We want and need to give an answer now": These were the words of Pustertal defender Luca Zanatta on Wednesday evening. The veteran and his Wolves suffered a heavy 0-4 defeat in Bruneck, a loss that cost them their top spot in the standings. Now Zanatta and his teammates are looking to make amends, but it won't be an easy task.
On Friday, the Wolves travel to face league newcomer FTC-Telekom. The Hungarians have proven a tough nut to crack for the Puster Valley side this year, who have lost both previous encounters 2-3. Will they finally break the deadlock in the third meeting? Ferencvárosi certainly has plenty of confidence, having defeated reigning champions Red Bull Salzburg 2-1 on Wednesday.
HCB in search of consistency
Bolzano, meanwhile, is searching for consistency. After three consecutive wins, the Foxes suffered a 1-4 defeat against Villacher SV on Wednesday. One thing in particular is proving difficult for Bolzano at the moment: scoring goals. Perhaps Vienna's visit is therefore just what they need? Looking at their last ten games alone, the Capitals are currently the worst-performing team in the league. A week ago, the Viennese side suffered a 0-2 defeat against Bolzano at the Sparkasse Arena.ICE Hockey League, the games from the weekend
