S+HC Milan: The newcomer has high ambitions

The Olympic Games in February of this year sparked a new wave of ice hockey euphoria in Milan. Within just over three months, one of the most exciting projects in European ice hockey was brought to fruition, culminating in HC Milan being accepted as a new member of the ICEHL on June 1st with the necessary two-thirds majority.

A major contributor to this was Christof Leitner, a South Tyrolean. The 56-year-old from Sterzing, whose company was involved in the construction of the Olympic ice rinks and who had therefore been in contact with decision-makers for some time, is the president of the new association.
