Blues fight for a deciding game

Most first-round Stanley Cup playoff series have already been decided. However, the one between the St. Louis Blues and the Winnipeg Jets is not. Now the Blues have forced a decisive seventh game.

The St. Louis Blues won a playoff game in the only playoff match of the North American National Hockey League (NHL) on Friday. The home team defeated the Winnipeg Jets 5-2, leveling the Western Conference best-of-seven series at 3-3. On Monday night (CEST), the Jets have the chance to secure their place in the second round of the playoffs in front of their home crowd.

The game was decided in the second period. The Blues scored four goals in 5:23 minutes and took a 5-1 lead, after the Jets had tied the game at 26-1 on the power play in the 1th minute. The Blues would probably have preferred to play the decisive match on home ice, as they have an excellent 23-15 home winning streak since February 0.
