Oilers force playoff against Canucks

The Edmonton Oilers forced a playoff against the Vancouver Canucks in the NHL playoffs. The Oilers won game six of the series against the Canucks on Saturday (local time), leveling the score at 3-3 in the Western Conference semifinals.

Dylan Holloway, Zach Hyman, Evan Bouchard, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Evander Kane scored the goals in the 5-1 (1-1, 2-0, 2-0) win for the Oilers. For Hyman, who was Edmonton's top scorer in the regular season, it was the tenth goal in this year's playoffs.

Star player Connor McDavid contributed three assists, Leon Draisaitl two. The 28-year-old German leads the league in playoff scoring with 23 goals. In each of the Oilers' eleven playoff games so far, he has been directly involved in at least one goal. With a total of exactly 100 scoring points in 60 playoff games, Draisaitl is also the third fastest player in NHL history to reach this mark. Only ice hockey legends Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux were faster.
