This NHL youngster is following in the footsteps of great people.

Macklin Celebrini has long since become the face of the San Jose Sharks. He played his 100th NHL game in the 4-1 away win against the Carolina Hurricanes.

San Jose's first overall pick from the 2024 NHL Draft is in good company after 100 games. With 106 points (40-66-106), he has amassed the seventh-most points by a teenager in league history. Only Wayne Gretzky (173), Sidney Crosby (132), Dale Hawerchuk (130), Ron Francis (124), Steve Yzerman (115), and Jimmy Carson (107) have more points.

Especially in the current 2025/26 season, the 19-year-old Canadian has made another huge leap. After 30 games, he has 43 points (15-28-43), including seven games with at least three points. This puts him level with Yzerman (1984/85) and Bryan Trottier (1975/76) for the most three-pointers by a teenager in the first 30 games of a season.

With his 65th and 66th career assists, he also overtook Phil Housley (64) for the most assists by a teenager up to their 100th game and ranks sixth in this list behind Gretzky (112), Crosby (83), Francis (82), Hawerchuk (72) and Yzerman (67).

Only eight players have achieved 28 multi-point games as teenagers, out of a maximum of 100 games. Celebrini equaled Yzerman's record of 28. Ahead of them are only Gretzky (53), Francis (41), Crosby, Hawerchuk (both 40), Carson (30), and Ted Kennedy (29).
