Connor McDavid can still do it

The duel between the Ottawa Senators and the Oilers on Tuesday evening (local time) at the Canadian Tire Centre was narrowly won by the guests from Alberta with a score of 3:2 after overtime.
For Edmonton, Connor McDavid scored the latest first goal of the season in NHL history. After 16:31 minutes of the first period, captain McDavid broke the deadlock and scored his first goal of the season in seven games. The superstar had never had to wait that long for his first goal. Last year, it took him until his fifth appearance. But his 20th shot of the season found its way into the net: On the power play, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins found him from behind the baseline and fired in a shot from close range to make it 1-0.
However, this was by no means the only milestone for the Oilers that evening: Veteran Adam Henrique made his 1000th NHL appearance in Ottawa, while Isaac Howard scored his first goal ever in the world's best league. The 21-year-old is a first-round pick in the 2022 draft. Jake Walman, who made his comeback from injury and scored the game-winner in overtime in his first game of the season, rounded off the game.
For Edmonton, this marks the end of a five-game road trip that began with a win at the New York Rangers and ended with three consecutive losses at the hands of the New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, and Detroit Red Wings. The Senators, on the other hand, have lost two games in a row and five of their last six.
