Final entry! Switzerland outclasses Denmark

Switzerland ended the Danish ice hockey fairytale at the World Championship.

The surprise team suffered a decisive 0-7 (0-3, 0-1, 0-3) defeat to the runners-up in Stockholm. The Swiss are still hoping for their first World Cup title. Their final opponent on Sunday (20.20:6 p.m./ProSieben and Magentasport) is the USA. The Americans defeated hosts Sweden decisively 2:2 (0:2, 0:2, 2:15.20). Sweden will play Denmark in the third-place match (XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.).

After the coup in their final group match against Germany and the sensational victory against Canada in the quarterfinals, the Danes had no chance in their first semifinal appearance against Switzerland. NHL pro Nino Niederreiter (10th minute/18th minute) and Ken Jäger (13th minute) scored early in the first period.
