U20 World Cup: Italy still has a clean slate

At the U20 Ice Hockey World Championship in Tallinn (Estonia), Italy has been doing very well so far.

After the 7-4 triumph over Poland The Azzurrini have followed up their lead against South Korea. On Sunday they won 3-1, meaning Italy have the maximum number of points after two matches (six).

The match was decided after about half an hour. By then, Bozen's Nathan Garau (6th), Andrea De Luca (26th) and Fallou Mbow (29th) had already put Italy 3-0 ahead. The performance of goalie Carlo Giordani, who parried 27 shots and had a strong save rate of 96,4 percent, was also praiseworthy.

Monday is a rest day at the U20 World Cup, and the next match is on Tuesday (15 p.m.) with the big match against Ukraine, which, like Italy, has not yet dropped a point.

Italy – South Korea 3:1

Goals: 1:0 Garau (6th), 2:0 De Luca (26th), 3:0 Mbow (29th), 3:1 Hyun Kwon (46th)
