In addition to the ZSC Lions: A long-running favorite comes to Latsch

The Vinschgau Cup will be held again this summer in Latsch. The prestigious tournament will take place from August 22nd to 24th and will feature two true ice hockey greats.

Two international ice hockey greats are setting up their training tents in Latsch this summer. It was a real bombshell when the ZSC Lions, current Champions Hockey League winners and reigning Swiss champions, were announced recently to be preparing for their season in Latsch. The ERC Ingolstadt training camp is already a tradition. The current leaders of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) are coming to the Vinschgau sports village again for a week.

Since 2015, the traditional Bavarian club ERC Ingolstadt has been coming to the Latscher IceForum to get the finishing touches in the hot and decisive phase of preseason preparation. The last preparation of the 2014 German champions bore fruit, and in the current DEL season the ERC is at the top. This time the German ice hockey professionals will be guests in Vinschgau from August 18th to 24th.

A few days ago, the ZSC Lions were crowned winners of the Champions Hockey League.

But that's not all: With the ZSC Lions, another absolute ice hockey top-class team is coming to Latsch for the first time. The traditional club from Zurich has celebrated 10 championship titles to date, most recently in 2024. The Swiss recently crowned themselves winners of the Champions Hockey League against the Swedish top club Färjestad. Founded in 1930 as the Zurich Ice Skating Club, the ZSC is one of the top teams in the National League. The stadium is regularly sold out with around 12.000 spectators. The ZSC will be visiting Latsch from August 20 to 24.

Vinschgau Cup: Ice hockey treat in Latsch

The highlight of the training camp of the two top teams is the Vinschgau Cup from August 22nd to 24th. This is the ninth time that this has been held, and the ERC Ingolstadt has always been the "host". For three days, fans are treated to top-class ice hockey. Last year, the cup went to Ingolstadt. The "home team" left the Swiss club EHC Olten, the Iserlohn Roosters and the Innsbrucker Haie behind.

The other two Vinschgau Cup participants will be announced soon. The opening match on Friday, August 22nd, will be a duel between the ERC and the ZSC Lions. The game starts at 20 p.m. The second game between the other two teams is scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd (also starts at 20 p.m.). All four teams will be in action again on Sunday
