After a wild party trip: What is Alcaraz doing now?
Sun, beach, and partying instead of tennis courts, rackets, and tennis balls: For newly crowned French Open champion Carlos Alcaraz, the past few days have been a time to unwind. It's unclear when he'll return to the ATP Tour.

After the memorable five-set thriller against Jannik Sinner in the final of Roland Garros, Carlos Alcaraz has taken a break. While the South Tyrolean retreated to Sexten, the Spaniard and several friends went straight to Ibiza for a short holiday.
The triumph in Paris was celebrated wildly on the Balearic island. Cellphone videos show a dancing Alcaraz in the famous open-air club Ushuaïa, surrounded by friends and partygoers. Among them was Premier League footballer Sergio Reguilón, who had previously paid a visit to his fellow Spaniard in Paris.
Alcaraz is known for popping champagne corks after tournament victories. His Ibiza trips were even the subject of the Netflix documentary "Carlos Alcaraz: A Mi Manera," in which coach Juan Carlos Ferrero even questioned his continued collaboration.
The coach's warning
Ferrero wasn't exactly thrilled about the current party outing either, but he also said: "I told him to have a good time. But also to remember that at the end of the day, he's a tennis player, every moment."Carlos Alcaraz travels to Wimbledon as defending champion. © APA/afp / HENRY NICHOLLS
Short breaks of this kind have never had a negative impact on Alcaraz's performance in the past. And so, this time around, his focus should quickly return to the sport. On June 30, he will open the next Grand Slam tournament at Wimbledon as the defending champion.
Focus on Wimbledon
Ahead of his appearance at the most important tournament of the year, the 22-year-old has registered for the ATP 500 event at London's Queen's Club. Whether he will use the grass-court tournament as Wimbledon preparation remains unclear. According to coach Ferrero, he will have to consult with Alcaraz after his Ibiza trip to see "how he's doing physically and emotionally," he told the Spanish radio sports program.
