About money and love: Jannik Sinner candidly

Jannik Sinner is someone who prefers to keep private things private. In an interview with a renowned magazine, the Sesto superstar now talks about things away from the tennis court.

Winner of the Australian Open, third place in the world rankings, absolute favorite in Italy: Jannik Sinner has long since arrived at the tennis Olympus. And his soaring seems to know no limits.

The renowned magazine Vanity Fair Sinner has now given one of his rare exclusive interviews and also talked about topics that don't just have to do with tennis. Here are the most interesting statements.

Jannik Sinner about…

... his best friends: “My best friends are those from school – and I can count them on one hand. They are few, but good ones, because they have known me since I was a little boy. They don't care what I won or how famous I became. We talk about normal things, they give me peace of mind.”

... his adopted brother Mark: “He is two and a half years older than me. I started skiing because I saw him on the slopes. My brother was my first best friend, he is always honest and direct. We don't hear from each other as often these days, but we're still incredibly close. He always compliments me, even when I lose.”

... his relationship to money: “Before I buy something, I always look at the price. If I go to a restaurant and the pasta with ragù is much more expensive than the pasta with tomato sauce, I choose the one with tomato sauce. Not because I’m stingy, but I respect money.”

... the greatest gift he gave himself: "I bought myself a car. It’s a nice car, but you don’t have to think of a Ferrari, Lamborghini or Maserati.”
“I’ve never been to a discotheque in my life.” Jannik Sinner

... love: “Of course it's not easy, I travel a lot and I'm very focused during the tournaments. But I think it's a beautiful thing when you find true love. And then the best tennis players in the world all have wives and children.”

... things he had to forego as a teenager because of his tennis career: “I didn’t and don’t miss anything at all. I've never been to a discotheque in my life, I don't like going to bed late. I prefer playing cards with a friend.”
