The speed specialists missed out on the World Cup in Garmisch-Partenkirchen this weekend. However, a catch-up date was set on Monday - so Dominik Paris and co. can plan again.

Due to heavy fog, the men's downhill training in Garmisch-Partenkirchen had to be cancelled on both Friday and Saturday. This also made it clear: The race in the Bavarian Alps - the dress rehearsal for the Ski World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm (4 to 16 February) could not take placeBefore a descent, at least one training run must be completed.
From a South Tyrolean perspective, Dominik Paris (St. Walburg in Ulten), Florian Schieder (Kastelruth) and Christof Innerhofer (Gais) would have started in Garmisch. In the coming days, the trio will be alongside Alex Vinatzer (Gröden), Tobias Kastlunger (St. Vigil i. Enneberg) and Nicol Delago (Gröden) in Saalbach at the startAfter the World Championships, the three speed specialists can look forward to a catch-up date for the Garmisch downhill. As the International Ski Federation FIS announced on Monday, the race will take place on March 7th in Kvitfjell, Norway. In northern Europe, a downhill race is already scheduled for March 8th and a Super-G for March 9th.
